Best practice: wait until every student has registered in PitchVantage before you create groups.
Log into https://pitchvantage.com/log-in/ as instructor/trainer.
*Note: If PitchVantage is integrated with your course LMS (Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard, D2L), directly launch PitchVantage from your course assignment page.
Click Groups on top > Groups.
Click into a course section > Add Master Group.
Enter a Master Group title for your activity (e.g. Team presentation A) > Save.
Next, you can create targeted groups or random groups.
1. Create targeted groups
Click Add Group.
Enter a Group Title (e.g. Team 1) > Save.
To assign a specific student to a group, directly drag the student name to each group.
*Important: If you’ve already loaded student groups for one assignment and need different groups for a new assignment, simply add a new Master Group and follow the same steps as above. Do not modify the existing groups, as they were created specifically for the first assignment.
2. Create random groups
Click Create Random Groups.
Enter a Group Prefix (e.g. group) and a Group Size (e.g. 3) > Create Random Groups.
*You can create groups of 1s. Namely, each student can be a group if needed.
