Instructor: create students groups

Best practice: wait until every student has registered in PitchVantage before you create groups.


Log into https://pitchvantage.com/log-in/ as instructor/trainer.


*Note: If PitchVantage is integrated with your course LMS (Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard, D2L), directly launch PitchVantage from your course assignment page.


Click Groups on top > Groups.



Click into a course section > Add Master Group.



Enter a Master Group title for your activity (e.g. Team presentation A) > Save.



You can create targeted groups or random groups.


1. Create targeted groups


Click Add Group.



Enter a Group Title (e.g. Team 1) > Save.



To assign a specific student to a group, directly drag the student name to each group.




2. Create random groups


Click Create Random Groups.



Enter a Group Prefix (e.g. group) and a Group Size (e.g. 3) > Create Random Groups.

*You can create groups of 1s. Namely, each student can be a group if needed.
