(Before creating an individual presentation assignment, you may want to load your grading rubric)
Log into https://pitchvantage.com/log-in/ as instructor/trainer.
*Note: If PitchVantage is integrated with your course LMS (Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard, D2L), directly launch PitchVantage from your course assignment page.
Click Assignments on top.
Select a course section on the left, then click Add Assignment > Presentation/Response.
Title: e.g. Research presentation
Assignment Type: presentation OR response. Response has no slides/visual aids.
Choose Room: choose from 4 different sizes of simulated room environments for students to practice with. Video conference room specifically mimics virtual presentations.
Choose Rubric: default PitchVantage rubric OR your custom rubric (load a rubric)
Enter Text Description, Enter Video Description, Add Files, Add Links:
Adding in more detailed requirements of the assignment will give your students great clarity over what to achieve. Or keep it simple by asking students to refer back to LMS for assignment and grading details.
Presentation Type: more persuasive OR more informative
Audience Type: more technical OR more general
Presentation Duration: e.g. 4 minutes. Students always have 3 minutes to run long.
Assignment Due Date: fixed OR dynamic. A dynamic due date of 2 weeks means the assignment is due exactly 2 weeks after student's first login to PitchVantage. Students are still allowed to submit after due date, you will see late submissions in red.
Click Submit. Your assignment updates will be instantly synced to student accounts.
