Instructor: create peer review assignments

Modified on Tue, 2 Jul at 1:51 PM

(Before creating a peer review assignment, make sure you have loaded a video assignment first. Otherwise students have no videos to review each other.)

Log into https://pitchvantage.com/log-in/ as instructor/trainer.

*Note: If PitchVantage is integrated with your course LMS (Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard, D2L), directly launch PitchVantage from your course assignment page.

Click Assignments on top.

Select a course section on the left, then click Add Assignment > Peer Review.

Title: e.g. Peer review for informative speech

Assignment: select the video assignment for peer review (add a video assignment)

Reviewers: Select All users in section

Number of peer reviews: e.g. 3

Required to submit Assignment: Yes means if the student doesn't submit his/her own video, he/she is not allowed to review others.

Enter Text Description, Enter Video Description, Add Files, Add Links:

Adding in more detailed requirements of the assignment will give your students great clarity over what to achieve. Or keep it simple by asking students to refer back to LMS for assignment and grading details.

Assignment Due Date: give your students at least two days to complete peer review after the video assignment is due (e.g. video assignment due 1/1, peer review due 1/3 or later). Students are still allowed to review others after due date, you will see late work in red.

Click SubmitYour assignment updates will be instantly synced to student accounts.
