Create Peer Review assignments as the instructor

Email support@pitchvantage.com three pieces of simple information and PitchVantage team is happy to set up the entire peer review assignment(s) for you:

-peer review for which video assignment(s)?

-how many videos do you want every student randomly assigned to review?

-peer review due date

To create a peer review assignment, you need a video assignment first. Add a video assignment.

If you want every student to be assigned only the required number of peer videos to review, Add groups.

Log into https://pitchvantage.com/log-in/ as instructor/trainer.

*Note: If PitchVantage is integrated with your course LMS (Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard, D2L), simply log into your LMS account and launch PitchVantage from your course assignment page.

Click Assignments on top.

Select a course section on the left, then click Add Assignment > Peer Review.

Title: e.g. Peer review for Informative speech practice assignment

Assignment: which video assignment are you doing peer review for? Add a video assignment first as needed, then come back here

Reviewers: All users in section OR Users Groups

• All users in section - share with entire class and students select which ones to review
• Users Groups - put students into random groups to review each other only

Users Group: Add a group

Number of peer reviews: e.g. 2, meaning every student is required to review 2 peers' video to complete this peer review assignment

Required to submit Assignment: Yes means if the student did not submit his/her video, he/she will not be able to review others.

Enter Text Description, Enter Video Description, Add Files, Add Links:

Add in more guidelines of this assignment: background information, what students are expected to accomplish, etc. You can add in as many supporting details as you want or keep it simple like this: refer back to LMS for details of this peer review assignment.

Assignment Due Date: best practice is to give students at least two days to complete peer review after the video assignment is due (e.g. video due 1/1, peer review due 1/3 or later)

Click Submit. Your assignment updates will be instantly synced to student accounts.
